Overview of the Project :

The Online Job and Internship Portal System is a web-based application that facilitates job seekers to find suitable job opportunities, internships, and allows employers to post job and internship vacancies. It also includes an admin portal for managing job and internship listings, user accounts, and inquiries. The system is divided into several key modules, including user registration and login, job and internship application, and an admin portal for job and internship posting, user management, and inquiry handling.

Features Of User (For Job Seekers and Employers)

Admin Management

Login Screen
  • Admins use their registered email addresses to access the admin portal.
  • Admins access the login screen by visiting the admin portal URL.
  • They are prompted to enter their User Id and password.
Admin Dashboard:
  • After login, admins are redirected to the admin dashboard.
  • The dashboard provides access to admin functionalities without requiring additional role-based information
  • Super Admins have access to all features, while other roles are not applicable in this scenario.like job/internship management, user account management, inquiry handling, and more.

Logout

  • Admins can log out of the admin portal to end their sessions securely.
  • Session expiration is implemented for added security.

Password Recovery:

  • In case an admin forgets their password, a "Forgot Password" feature allows them to reset it securely.
  • Similar to the login process, a verification link/token is sent via email for password reset.

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC):

  • Implement role-based access control (RBAC) to manage admin permissions effectively.
  • Define different admin roles, such as:
  • Super Admin : Has full access to all admin functionalities.
  • Job Admin : Can manage job listings and related tasks.
  • Internship Admin : Can manage internship listings and related tasks.
  • Inquiry Admin : Manages user inquiries and communication.
  • User Management Admin : Handles user accounts and permissions.

Login Screen :

  • Admins access the login screen by visiting the admin portal URL.
  • Super admin will create login information .They are prompted to enter their User id and password.
  • Upon successfull login, admins are redirected to the login portal.
  • In addition to email and password, they select their role from a list (e.g., Super Admin, Job Admin, etc.).
  • The selected role determines their access permissions within the admin portal.

Additional Role Information :

  • After role selection, admins may be prompted to provide additional information specific to their role. For example:
  • Job Admins might enter details about job listings they manage.
  • Inquiry Admins might specify preferred communication methods.
  • User Management Admins could define user account policies.

Logout

  • Role Admins can log out of the admin portal to end their sessions securely.

  • Total Applicants: Admins can see the total number of applicants who have applied for various job and internship listings. This helps in tracking user engagement and application activity.
  • Total Company Listings: This component provides an overview of the total number of company listings registered on the platform. Admins can assess the platform's reach and the number of companies using it for recruitment.
  • Total Inquiries: Here, admins can view the total number of inquiries received from users. It includes inquiries about job listings, internships, and general platform-related questions.
  • Quick Navigation: The dashboard may include quick links or navigation menus that allow admins to access specific admin functionalities easily. For instance, links to job management, user account management, or inquiry handling.

Access to User Profiles:
  • Admins have access to user profiles, including candidates and other registered users.
  • They can view user information and statuses.

Search Functionality:

  • Depending on system functionality, admins may have the option to perform bulk actions on user profiles, such as updating statuses or exporting user data.
Inquiry Request Report:
  • User Information : Name, Company Name, Experience, Designation, Phone, City, Email Address
  • Additional Information : Date the inquiry was added (addedon date)
